January 6 – Dr. Elwood Boone is an accomplished and published physician, specializing in urology. He has been a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia and has been in private practice in the Richmond area for more than thirty years. His practice interests are genitourinary oncology and male reproductive dysfunction. Dr. Boone’s presentation will focus on urological issues faced by men of all ages.
February 3* – Sr. Andrea Verchuck professed her first vows with the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia in 1947. In the past 70 years, Sr. Andrea has taught at St. Benedict’s, Sacred Heart, and St. Gertrude’s, among other schools. She has also served as Prioress of her community from 1979 to 1987 and from 1999 to 2003. Sister will speak on the history of the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia.
March 3 – Fr. Mark Kowalski was ordained a Priest of the Diocese of Richmond in 2017. He serves as Parochial Vicar at St. Edward’s. Fr. Mark will present a Lenten Reflection.
April 7 – Reggie Gordon is the Director of Community Wealth Building for the City of Richmond. Mr. Gordon, an attorney and a native of North Richmond, previously served as Executive Director of Homeward, Executive Director of the William Byrd Community House, and CEO of the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Gordon will speak on issues of poverty affecting the Richmond area.
May 5* – Marie Gerardo, a St. Paul’s parishioner, is a Nurse Practitioner with the VCU Health System, specializing in Geriatric Services. Ms. Gerardo’s presentation will focus on memory loss issues.
