Ministry: Social Justice
The Social Justice Committee plans and coordinates the various outreach activities for the parish in collaboration with other churches and agencies. The goal of the committee is to promote Catholic social teachings and put into practice the command to love our neighbor as our self by serving the needs of the community. The activities of the committee are broad and most members serve on one or more (but not all) of the subgroups, according to their interests. See the list of subgroups below.
Time commitment: Meetings of the Social Justice General Committee are scheduled quarterly. The group is made up of a variety of subcommittees (listed below) which meet on their own time table. Participation is encouraged in other community and parish-wide events and activities planned by the committee. Youth stewards are welcome.
