Choir
The choir provides music at regular Liturgies for nine months of the year, including all special Liturgies such as Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas. No audition is necessary, just a desire to make “a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
Time commitment: Rehearsal and Liturgy are once a week. (Rehearsals are Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Liturgy is Sunday at 11:00am and as noted above)
Cantors
Cantors lead the congregation in the singing of the Mass parts. A prerequisite is two years of choir experience before becoming a Cantor.
Time commitment: Weekly rehearsal and assigned Liturgies.
Instrumentalists
Beyond the organ and piano other instruments are desired to add beauty and solemnity to the Liturgical Celebrations. They are used either in solo work or with choral works.
Time commitment: As needed.
Additional Assistance to Music Ministry
In addition to musical support, the Music Ministry at St. Paul’s welcomes donations of time and talent to assist with the logistical aspect of the musical program.
